Top Cat is one of the first UK artists to advertise and organize dub plate sessions for his stable of artists as well as other UK artists and visiting Jamaican Reggae artists in the early 1990's. His classified advertisements on the inside of the back page of Echoes magazine pioneered how studios and artists now advertise sessions using the internet. Working from Stonewall Studio in Peckham with Joe G and cutting with Chris, Paul and Wayne at Music House in Highbury as well as working with Chris and Gussie at A Class Studio in Forest Hill Top Cat started advertising his dub plate service back in 1992 working alongside artists such as Tenor Fly, Wayne Marsall (UK), Tad Hunter, Mike Anthony, Sandeeno, Prento Youth aka Jah Prento as well as organizing sessions with artists such as Half Pint, Been Man, Mega Bantan, Freddy McGregor, Jack Radics, Shaggy, Rayvon, Frankie Paul, Elephant Man to name a few.
Top Cat is the only UK artists to feature on dub plate in the first World Sound Clash that took place in Edmonton north London back in 1993 and one of the few UK artists to regularly feature in the dub plate sets of top Reggae sounds and Dj's like King Addies, Coxsone, Saxon and David Rodigan. Sentinel sound also featured Top Cat dub plates that helped them win the World Clash in the mid 2000's.
Also known for his work in Jungle and UK Garage Top Cat is one of the few artists who is renown for having tracks that smash up sessions in various genres.
